What You’ll Do:
- Guide patients through frame and lens selection with clarity and warmth
- Interpret prescriptions and ensure accurate measurements and fittings
- Educate patients on lens types, coatings, and eyewear care
- Collaborate with optometrists and front desk staff for seamless service
- Navigate insurance and Medicaid benefits with transparency
- Support inventory, ordering, and merchandising efforts
- Uphold HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality at every step
What You Bring:
- Experience in optical retail or as an optician
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and commitment to patient privacy
- Strong communication skills and a patient-first mindset
- Attention to detail and comfort with multitasking
- Familiarity with EHR systems or willingness to learn
- A team-oriented attitude and a desire to grow professionally
- Flexibility to work evenings and weekends—our retail hours reflect our patients’ needs
