Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A full-time Special Education Teacher position is available to support students from Kindergarten through 12th grade. This opportunity offers a chance to work within a diverse K-12 caseload, providing tailored educational assistance to students with special needs from early elementary through high school levels. The role begins ASAP and continues through the end of the current school year.
Responsibilities include:
- Developing and implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) to meet students unique learning needs.
- Collaborating with general education teachers and staff to accommodate students within their grade-level content.
- Conducting assessments and monitoring student progress to adapt instructional methods effectively.
- Creating a supportive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages academic and social development.
- Communicating regularly with parents and guardians regarding student performance and progress.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid teaching certification in Special Education.
- Experience working across various grade levels, especially in elementary (K-5), middle (6-8), and high school (9-12) settings.
- Strong knowledge of special education laws, regulations, and best practices.
- Ability to manage a caseload of students with diverse learning needs effectively.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
