This opportunity invites experienced Registered Nurses with specialized skills in the Operating Room to work in a well-equipped surgical environment. Key Qualifications and Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years of specialty experience in Operating Room nursing
- Proficient in circulating during surgeries including General, Orthopedic, Urology, GYN, Podiatry, Pediatric Dentistry, Burn, ENT, Pain, and Vascular cases
- Current RN license with BLS certification required
- Experience with EMR systems, specifically EPIC, preferred
- Strong knowledge of surgical equipment and adherence to sterile techniques
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Support surgical teams as a circulator nurse during various procedures
- Maintain compliance with department protocols and ensure patient safety throughout surgical processes
- Participate in ongoing orientation and training, including a 2-day departmental onboarding
- Adhere to scheduling, including weekday shifts from 6:30 AM to either 3:00 PM or 5:00 PM, weekend on-call rotation roughly every 8th to 10th weekend, and holiday work coverage around 75% of the time
- Follow organizational standards such as WakeWings protocols to preserve a positive and efficient department culture
