The Logistics Coordinator is responsible for shipping and receiving wholesale products. This includes organizing and maintaining product storage.
Duties and responsibilities: The Logistics Coordinator’s responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Review all shipping and receiving orders for accuracy and quality.
- Respond to all shipping issues including customer complaints, lost items, and damages.
- Track all wholesale shipments in and out of warehouse and report any issues timely.
- Liaise with our freight forwarder and vendor to make certain product deliveries are handled properly, required paperwork/documentation is intact, and orders are shipped timely.
- Ensure timely and accurate shipping of wholesale orders to customers.
- Acquire freight quotes for both flatbed and LTL shipments.
- Coordinate routing with wholesale customers.
- Ship samples from the warehouse to the customer as directed.
- Partner with carriers and third-party services.
- Ensure wholesale shipping documents are sent to the Accounting Department for proper sales and inventory reporting.
- Investigate and report any shipping issues to the warehouse manager. Working with the warehouse manager, resolve issues with the best interest of both customer and company.
- Assist in meeting overall department sales goals by helping to maintain existing customer relationships through excellent customer service.
- Partner with customer service team, process and track freight.
- Manage and track containers going to and from third party warehouse.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Excellent customer service skills required
- Previous fulfillment experience helpful; exterior tile and stone experience a plus
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Basic data entry and/or word processing skills
- Experience with SAP, WMS and Excel a plus
- Strong organizational skills
- Ability to manage priorities
- Ability to work independently and as a member of a team
- Ability to multi-task in a busy environment
- Self-motivated with good initiative and willingness to help where needed
