Job Title: Powder Coater
Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Powder Coater to join our team. The role involves operating a batch powder coating system, which includes parts preparation, using an electrostatic spray coating gun, managing the curing oven, and ensuring proper documentation of processes. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a high-growth manufacturing business that is embarking on a new chapter.
Responsibilities
- Operate and manage batch powder coating systems, including racking, cleaning, and preparation of parts.
- Use an electrostatic spray coating gun and manage the spray booth.
- Operate the curing oven and wash down booth.
- Unrack, organize, and document finished parts for shipment.
- Manage consumables effectively.
- Communicate and document job status and part production using a computer.
Essential Skills
- 1-2 years of experience in powder coating.
- Understanding of the powder coating process and equipment.
- Ability to pass a respiratory medical exam.
- Reliable transportation to and from work.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Ability to use a computer effectively.
- Experience with Microsoft Office.
Work Environment
Work in a brand-new facility with a future headcount of 200-250 people. The role requires wearing safety equipment, including steel-toed boots and safety glasses. You will need to wear long pants of thicker material, and long sleeves or cut-resistant sleeves will be supplied. The position involves standing or walking for long periods and occasionally lifting up to 25–50 lbs. You will be working in a manufacturing floor environment, with exposure to noise, machinery, and varying temperatures.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Hanover, MD.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr.
