Active Registered Respiratory Tech (RRT) license and 2+ years of in-patient hospital Respiratory Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Provide advanced respiratory care as a Registered Respiratory Therapist at a leading medical center recognized for its Level 1 Trauma designation and academic teaching status. This critical role supports adult patient populations across ICU and medical/surgical floors, managing diverse respiratory conditions such as post-surgical recovery, pneumonia, COPD, and asthma in a fast-paced trauma center environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver comprehensive respiratory therapy to critically ill adult patients.
  • Collaborate closely with interdisciplinary teams including experienced Lead Therapists.
  • Utilize advanced respiratory equipment including Servo U and Servo Air ventilators, The Vest, Volara, and Aerogen.
  • Participate in departmental orientation and follow an established weekend rotation schedule.
  • Adhere to hospital protocols with no on-call requirements and work holiday coverage at 75%.

Qualifications:

  • Licensed Respiratory Therapist in North Carolina with RRT credential.
  • Minimum 2 years of critical care respiratory experience, preferably in Level 1 trauma or high-acuity settings.
  • Certifications including BLS and ACLS required; CRT certificate acceptable but not preferred.
  • Experience with EMR systems, specifically EPIC, and proficiency using specialized respiratory equipment.
  • Ability to work evening shifts (18:30 07:00) with weekend rotations every other weekend.
