A professional Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) is sought for a K-12 school setting in Hobbs, New Mexico. This contract position runs from July 22, 2025, through May 28, 2026, with a weekly schedule of 37.5 hours. The role involves supporting students across one to two school buildings, providing essential speech and language therapy services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct and indirect speech-language pathology services to students in compliance with individualized education plans (IEPs).
- Collaborate with team members, including assistant SLPs, to manage caseloads that typically range between 65-70 students.
- Utilize district-provided IEP systems, with training available, to document and track student progress.
- Participate in paid team meetings and administrative time as scheduled.
- Provide supervision if applicable, working closely within the districts framework.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid SLP licensure and credentials required.
- Experience working with K-12 populations in school settings preferred.
- Ability to manage a high caseload with support from assistant staff.
- Familiarity with IEP processes and reporting standards typical to school districts.
- Flexibility to work across multiple school sites as needed.
