Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented Lab Technician to test water samples and input data into Microsoft Office and Excel sheets. Experience in water treatment facilities or water sample testing is essential for this role. Candidates should be able to work weekends, with shifts likely on a Tuesday-Saturday and Wednesday-Sunday rotation.
Responsibilities
- Collect and analyze water samples for chemical, physical, and microbiological parameters.
- Operate and maintain laboratory instruments and testing equipment.
- Record and interpret test results accurately; prepare reports as needed.
- Follow established safety protocols and quality assurance procedures.
- Assist in troubleshooting and corrective actions when results fall outside acceptable ranges.
Essential Skills
- Experience in water, wastewater, or water testing is mandatory.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and document control.
- Ability to work on weekends.
- Reliable transportation is required.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- 6 months to 1 year of experience in water testing or general laboratory testing.
- Basic knowledge of water treatment processes and laboratory techniques.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow standard operating procedures.
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional coursework in chemistry, biology, or environmental science preferred.

Work Environment

This is a Contract position based out of Lexington, TX.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr.
