Director of Strategic Accounts
Driving Growth, Partnerships, and Opportunity
Position Summary
The Director of Strategic Accounts plays a pivotal role in the expansion and long-term success of Cycurion’s Cyber Shield / ARx Platform. This position is responsible for identifying, pursuing, and securing new opportunities that drive revenue growth, market presence, and strategic partnerships. The role requires both analytical, technical and creative skills, able to balance data-driven decision making with relationship-building skills. This role also requires a deep understanding of market trends, customer needs, and the competitive landscape.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead Generation and Pipeline Management: Create a robust pipeline of prospective clients including public health networks, independent universities, healthcare quality and safety organizations, professional associations, and other strategic targets through networking, cold calling, attending conferences, and leveraging digital tools. Maintain accurate records in the Cycurion CRM system.
- Opportunity Identification: Research target markets and potential clients to uncover new business opportunities. Utilize market intelligence, competitive analysis, and industry insights to inform strategy.
- Strategic Planning: Develop and implement business development strategies and plans that align with organizational goals. Set clear objectives, milestones, and performance metrics.
- Relationship Building: Cultivate and manage relationships with prospective and existing clients, partners, and key stakeholders. Foster trust and credibility through consistent, value-driven communication.
- Deal Negotiation and Closing: Lead negotiations with clients and partners, ensuring mutually beneficial agreements. Review and finalize contracts in collaboration with Cycurion Contract Administration.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with the Cyber Shield operations team to design solutions that meet client needs and support company objectives.
- Brand Positioning: Advocate for the Cycurion’s brand and value proposition in the marketplace. Represent the company at conferences, trade shows, and networking events.
- Reporting and Analysis: Prepare periodic reports on strategic account activities, pipeline status, and market trends. Analyze results to refine strategies and improve performance.
- Continuous Improvement: Stay abreast of cyber security and technology best practices and evolving customer preferences. Propose innovative approaches to business development challenges.
Required Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Information Technology or related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 5+ years of relevant experience in strategic account management, business development, sales, and strategic partnerships—preferably in the technology industry.
- Skills: Proven ability in relationship management, pipeline development, and deal closure. Excellent negotiation and presentation skills.
- Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with CRM software, market research tools, and data analytics platforms.
- Communication: Outstanding verbal and written communication skills. Ability to articulate complex ideas clearly and persuasively.
- Strategic Account Management: Organizational skills to prioritize tasks, manage multiple clients throughout the USA and key targets outside of the USA.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in international markets or cross-border business development.
- Industry-specific expertise or contacts within targeted sectors.
- Experience working in fast-growing environments.
Day-to-Day Activities
- Research potential markets and new business opportunities.
- Reach out to prospective clients via calls, emails, and networking events.
- Develop presentations and proposals tailored to client needs.
- Follow up on leads and nurture relationships throughout the sales cycle.
- Negotiate terms and close deals.
- Track activity in CRM systems and report metrics to senior leadership.
- Collaborate with Cyber Shield Operations teams to ensure seamless onboarding and solution delivery.
- Attend industry conferences and represent the company externally.
Performance Metrics
- Number and value of deals closed per quarter/year.
- Growth in client base and market share.
- Quality and strength of strategic partnerships established.
- Achievement of revenue and profit targets.
- Client satisfaction and retention rates.
- Successful entries into new markets or sectors.
Reporting Structure
- Reports directly to the CEO; subject to change based on organizational growth,
- Works in close association with Cyber Shield operations and Contract Administration.
- May supervise an internal sales team Cycurion is developing with junior business development associates and/or interns.
Work Environment
- Work is primarily remote with occasional office meeting and travel as required for client meetings and conferences.
- Frequent interactions with external partners, clients, and stakeholders.
