The Registered Respiratory Therapist delivers expert respiratory care to patients based on physician directives, which includes evaluating therapy effectiveness and providing advanced respiratory support. Candidates must possess a CoArc-accredited education, a valid license, and the Registered Respiratory Therapist credential, with a preference for those with critical care experience. Full-Time Night Shift - 36 hours per week
$10,000 Sign-On Bonus Available
Role Summary:
This position involves providing direct patient care in all areas of respiratory therapy as per physician orders. The therapist will consult with physicians regarding the effectiveness of treatments and serve as a key resource for both medical staff and nursing teams concerning respiratory care. Additional responsibilities will be assigned as needed.
Qualifications:
Education: Must be a graduate of a CoArc-accredited Respiratory Care program.
Licensure: Must meet state licensing criteria and hold a current Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license.
Certifications: Must possess the Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential from the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC). PALS certification is required for those working in the Emergency Room.
Physical Requirements: The role involves physical demands such as pushing, pulling, and gripping up to 50 lbs, as well as minimal kneeling, crouching, and crawling.
Equipment Utilized: All necessary respiratory care equipment.
Preferred Qualifications: Acute Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification and critical care experience are highly desirable.
