Role highlights

• Operate a brake press to form parts from sheet and plate per safety standards and PPE requirements.
• Set up, adjust, and dial in tooling based on job packets and blueprints; cut/form to spec.
• Perform minor troubleshooting and routine preventive maintenance to prevent downtime.
• Assemble standard and engineered-to-order products with hand and pneumatic tools; transition material to subsequent operations.
• Hold tight tolerances by adjusting machine, tooling, and wheels; verify with specified gauges.
• Complete production documentation: first-piece approvals, routing tags, scrap tickets, and related records.
• Champion quality and continuous improvement; keep work areas clean and organized.

Qualifications Required

• High school diploma/GED (accredited)
• 1+ year of press brake operation experience
• Strong written and verbal communication
• Ability to read wiring schematics, blueprints, and drawings
• Ability to push/pull 50 lbs with carts and lift/carry up to 50 lbs
• Team-oriented, collaborative, and open to training; able to flex to other departments
• Must reside within 50 miles; relocation not offered (Active-Duty Military Service members are exempt from the distance requirement)

Preferred

• 1+ year experience in metal fabrication or related field
• Experience with press brakes, lasers, or CNC machinery
• Basic computer proficiency and solid math skills
