  • Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,820 - $1,910 (Travel Nurse pay)\n
  • Location: Midland, TX 79701 (Midland County, West Texas)\n

  • Shift: Day shift, 3x12-hour (07:00 – 19:00)\n
  • Hours per Week: 36\n
  • Self-scheduling: Flexible shift selection for travel nurses\n
  • Float Requirement: May float to Mother Baby, Labor & Delivery (L&D), and Pediatrics\n
  • Patient Ratio: 1:3 (neonatal ICU nurse)\n
  • Orientation: 36 hours\n
  • Weekend Coverage: 4 weekend shifts in a 6-week period\n

\n\nRequired Qualifications — NICU RN / Neonatal Nurse\n

  • Minimum 1 year of NICU RN experience required; 3 years strongly preferred (neonatal ICU nurse experience)\n
  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license required — pending licenses accepted with submission but must be active before start\n
  • Current BLS, NRP, and NIHSS certifications required\n
  • Travel nursing experience preferred\n
  • Cerner charting experience preferred\n
  • Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions allowed)\n
  • Ability to pass an on-site drug screen\n

\n\nKey Responsibilities — Neonatal Nursing Duties\n

  • Provide compassionate, evidence-based care to neonates and infants in the NICU\n
  • Administer medications and blood products; perform accurate neonatal dosage calculations\n
  • Manage arterial lines, central lines, chest tubes, and ventilators (AC/PC/SIMV/CPAP/BIPAP/PEEP)\n
  • Support breastfeeding, lactation guidance, and developmental care\n
  • Perform APGAR scoring, blood glucose monitoring, and phototherapy\n
  • Educate and support families throughout the care process, emphasizing family-centered newborn care\n
  • Float as needed to Mother Baby, Labor & Delivery, and Pediatrics units\n
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, Radiology, Social Services, and Rapid Response Teams\n
