This contract position offers a chance to provide critical care to postoperative patients on a 22-bed Post-Surgical Unit with an excellent patient-to-nurse ratio of approximately 1:4-5, ensuring attentive and high-quality patient care.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Current and valid RN license.
- Experience in post-anesthesia or surgical nursing preferred.
- Strong assessment and patient monitoring skills.
- Ability to support patients through the immediate postoperative recovery phase.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
Responsibilities:
- Monitor and assess patients recovering from anesthesia, ensuring their safety and comfort.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
- Collaborate with surgical teams to provide detailed patient updates and care coordination.
- Manage pain effectively and recognize potential complications early.
- Maintain accurate patient records according to healthcare standards.
