Work Shift: Primarily daytime hours with on-call responsibilities during nights, weekends, and holidays (United States of America)

A Brief Overview

This role involves caring for patients across various acuity levels and age groups in multiple settings, focusing on procedures such as surgical, obstetrical, diagnostic, therapeutic, and pain management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct pre-operative assessments for patients.
  • Develop and communicate a comprehensive care plan to patients and their families.
  • Establish and maintain crucial venous access.
  • Ensure proper airway management.
  • Induce and maintain anesthesia while monitoring the patient appropriately.
  • Oversee the completion of anesthesia and the patient's emergence from it.
  • Transfer patient care to the appropriate staff at the end of the procedure.
  • Conduct post-operative follow-ups for each case.
  • Serve as a clinical instructor for anesthesia students.

Required Education, Licenses/Certifications, or Experience:

  • Certified Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) with an active license from the Board of Nursing in the state of practice upon hire.
  • Registered Nurse (RN) with an active license from the Board of Nursing in the state of practice upon hire.
  • Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist certification from the National Board of Certification and Recertification for Nurse Anesthetists (NBCRNA) upon hire.
