Job Title: Medical Receptionist (Contract)
Location: Neptune City, NJ 07753
Duration: 13 Weeks
Schedule:

• Monday–Thursday: 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM

• Friday: 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
  Float Requirement: Yes (must be willing to travel within 30 minutes of home)
  Pay Rate: Up to $20/hour

Job Summary

"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking a professional and reliable Medical Receptionist to support front-desk and administrative operations in a busy medical practice. This role serves as the first point of contact for patients and visitors, ensuring excellent customer service while maintaining HIPAA compliance.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and visitors in a courteous and professional manner

• Answer and route phone calls following HIPAA guidelines

• Manage patient check-in and check-out processes

• Verify and update patient demographics and insurance information in the EMR

• Collect copayments and outstanding balances; post charges and payments

• Verify insurance eligibility and required referrals

• Schedule appointments and support patient flow

• Maintain accurate patient records and filing systems

• Assist with medical record preparation and EMR pre-loading

• Monitor office supplies and coordinate reordering

• Float to nearby locations as needed and support cross-coverage

• Perform additional administrative duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of medical receptionist or clerical experience

• EPIC EMR experience required

• Experience with patient check-in/check-out

• Strong customer service and communication skills

• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment

• Willingness to travel within a 30-minute radius

Preferred Qualifications

• 1–3 years of medical office experience

• CPR certification (preferred)

Education

• High School Diploma or GED required
