Matthew 25 AIDS Services is a non-profit healthcare clinic that specializes in the treatment of HIV/AIDS.

Overview:

The IN Prevention and Education Assistant is responsible for working with the community, Matthew 25 medical and prevention staff to ensure that newly diagnosed and current individuals with Hepatitis C who are not in care are connected to healthcare. The IN Prevention and Education Assistant will accomplish this goal by using a variety of outreach strategies targeting patients who are at-risk for Hep C and those who are Hep C positive, not in care and engaging them into medical services by providing intensive patient navigation and support. The IN Prevention and Education Assistant will work to provide services to all counties that Matthew 25 serves in Indiana, Posey, Vanderburgh, Warrick, Spencer, Perry, Dubois, Pike, Gibson, Martin, Daviess, Knox and Crawford.
**Please note that weekend hours will be a regular part of this role and are expected.

QUALIFICATIONS

• B.A./B.S. or equivalent experience.
• Skilled in Hep C and HIV counseling and testing and skilled in outreaching high risk populations
• Experience working in a nonprofit organization or a strong desire to work in service driven environment

• Flexibility, as our services are available to a large geographic area in the state of Kentucky, which may require some travel
• Must be able to pass a drug screen and background test.
