ROLE OVERVIEW
The Operations Supervisor (Second Shift) is responsible for ensuring all jobs, crews, vehicles, equipment, materials, and systems are properly closed out and prepared for the next day.
This role serves as the key link between the Field Supervisors, Crew Leaders, crews, shop operations, and our Aspire software platform. Success in this role requires strong organization, attention to detail, problem-solving, follow-through, and the ability to influence and hold others accountable without direct authority.
While this role will occasionally assist with physical tasks, its primary responsibility is to direct, coordinate, and verify work performed by crews and team members to ensure the shop, fleet, materials, and systems are fully prepared for the next day.
Preferred schedule is a standard 8-hour shift, Monday through Friday, with a typical start time between 12:00 PM and 2:00 PM and an end time between 8:00 PM and 10:00 PM, with some flexibility depending on operational needs, and the busiest time between 5pm-7pm.
Note: fluent Spanish is required for this role as this position works extensively with our English and Spanish-speaking crews.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Crew Intake & Job Closeout
• Meet with crews as they return from the field each day
• Review completed jobs and verify job status in Aspire
• Ensure all required photos, notes, and documentation have been uploaded
• Verify crews have properly clocked in and out
• Identify incomplete work and ensure proper follow-up is created
• Create and manage non-billable follow-up opportunities for incomplete work
• Move incomplete jobs into the Pending Jobs queue for the morning operations team
• Provide clear summaries and notes for the next day's scheduler
Aspire Compliance & Training
• Ensure crews are properly utilizing Aspire (field service management software) and company workflows
• Train and coach crews on proper system usage
• Verify job documentation is complete and accurate
• Monitor compliance with photo requirements, labor tracking, and job closeout procedures
• Identify recurring issues and help improve adoption of company processes
• Work closely with Spanish-speaking crews to ensure proper system usage and compliance
Fleet, Equipment & Shop Readiness
• Review equipment issues reported by crews
• Communicate repair needs to the shop mechanic
• Direct crews and team members in unloading equipment and materials upon returning to the shop
• Conduct basic inspections of:
- Trucks
- Trailers
- Lights
- Brakes
- Chains and binders
- General safety items
• Ensure trucks, trailers, equipment, and materials are properly prepared for the next day's work
• Coordinate and oversee truck loading, equipment staging, and shop readiness activities using available crew resources
• Verify all assigned tasks have been completed to company standards before crews leave for the day
Materials & Inventory Management
• Assist with inventory tracking and organization
• Order materials and small equipment as needed
• Help maintain organized shops and drop yards
• Direct and oversee the loading of trucks and trailers for the following day
• Assign and coordinate crew members to assist with loading, unloading, organization, and shop tasks as needed
• Verify all required materials and equipment are properly staged and ready for next-day operations
Daily Reporting & Communication
• Provide a daily operations summary for management
• Communicate:
- Completed jobs
- Incomplete jobs
- Equipment issues
- Material shortages
- Crew compliance issues
• Ensure important information is effectively handed off to the morning operations team
REQUIREMENTS
Experience
• Experience in landscaping, construction, operations, fleet management, logistics, or similar field operations
• Experience working with crews and field personnel
• Experience coordinating multiple activities simultaneously
Skills

Technical
• Comfortable learning and using software systems
• Experience with Aspire or similar operations software is a plus
• Comfortable using tablets, smartphones, and computers for daily work
Language
• Bilingual Spanish is required

• $50,000–$65,000 salary based on experience and fit
