Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
Step into a rewarding opportunity this summer working with young learners as a school-based Speech-Language Pathologist. This contract assignment focuses on providing essential speech services during the Extended School Year (ESY) for students ages birth through kindergarten. Your expertise will directly support children in both Part B and Part C programs, ensuring they receive high-quality communication interventions and setting them up for ongoing success.
In this role, you’ll work with a manageable caseload of around five students, with the possibility of new referrals as the summer progresses. You’ll collaborate with families and educational teams to deliver individualized assessments, therapy, and support to children at a crucial stage in their development.
Qualifications and Preferred Experience:
- Active state Speech-Language Pathologist license (or eligibility).
- SLP-CCC or SLP-CFY candidates encouraged to apply.
- Experience working in school or early childhood settings preferred.
- Familiarity with ESY and early intervention (Part C) and preschool (Part B) services.
- Strong skills in assessment, IEP/IFSP development, and progress monitoring.
- Ability to communicate effectively with families, teachers, and multidisciplinary teams.
- Collaborative, flexible attitude and a passion for early intervention.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide speech and language assessments, direct therapy, and consultative support for children from birth through kindergarten.
- Develop and implement individualized education or family service plans.
- Track and document student progress in accordance with program guidelines.
- Coordinate and communicate with teachers, service coordinators, and families.
- Support new referrals and adjust intervention plans as caseload evolves.
