Job Details:

• Two (2) years current experience required in large emergency department
\n• Must successfully complete at least one 13-week travel assignment
\n• Must successfully pass a BCA (Basic Cardiac Arrhythmia) test onsite before starting assignment
\n• One opportunity to re-test if failed; second failure results in contract cancellation
\n• Floating between departments and/or local locations within 20 miles is required
\n• Must be a team player, flexible, and accustomed to fast-paced environment
\n• Utilize nursing process to provide direct patient care to assigned group of patients during shift
\n• Ensure safe, effective, patient-centered, timely, efficient, and equitable care of patients
\n• Assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and document individual patient needs and responses
\n• Coordinate patient care through collaboration with patient/family and healthcare team
\n• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physician or standard protocols
\n• Identify and meet patient and family learning and discharge needs throughout episode of care
\n• Assume responsibility for clinical supervision of LPNs and non-licensed assistive personnel
\n• Complete patient population/age-specific/procedure and protocol education and competency testing
\n• Required education: Associates Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN)
\n• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NIHSS certifications
\n• BLS, ACLS, and PALS must be completed through American Heart Association, American Health and Safety, or American Red Cross
\n• New Mexico or Compact State Nursing License required
\n• Epic experience preferred but not required; can train on-site
