As an Assistant Manager, you are a hands-on leader responsible for guiding Front-of-House, Back-of-House, and Coffee teams during daily operations. You’ll help set the tone for the shift, keep service running smoothly, and support your team through both busy and quiet moments.

This role is ideal for a confident, positive leader who thrives in a fast-paced café environment and enjoys being on the floor with their team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead FOH, BOH, and Coffee operations during assigned shifts

  • Coach and support team members to meet service, quality, and hospitality standards

  • Monitor food quality, accuracy, and presentation

  • Manage ticket times and pacing to ensure timely guest service

  • Address guest needs and resolve concerns professionally and promptly

  • Maintain cleanliness and compliance with food safety and sanitation standards

  • Assist with inventory counts, ordering, and labor awareness

  • Complete opening and closing procedures, including cash handling

  • Promote teamwork, communication, and accountability throughout the shift

What We’re Looking For

  • 1+ year of restaurant or food service leadership experience preferred

  • Strong communication skills with a coaching-focused leadership style

  • Ability to lead confidently during high-volume shifts

  • Positive, professional, guest-first attitude

  • Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays

  • Tennessee ABC permit (or willingness to obtain)

  • Comfortable working closely with both FOH and BOH teams

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods (8–10 hours)

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. occasionally

  • Frequent bending, reaching, and movement

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen and service environment
