Nurse Practitioner (FNP or AGNP)Hours

• M-F, 8am-5pm
• No evenings or weekends

Nurse Practitioner (FNP or AGNP) Compensation

• The pay for this position is $66.00-71.00 an hour paid weekly
• Benefits are available to full-time employees after 90 days of employment
• A 401(k) with a company match is available for full-time employees with 1 year of service on our eligibility dates

Nurse Practitioner (FNP or AGNP) Responsibilities

• Provide primary and urgent medical care to inmates, including assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of acute and chronic conditions
• Perform routine physical exams and health assessments
• Order, interpret, and follow up on diagnostic tests such as labs and imaging
• Prescribe medications and develop individualized treatment plans per state laws and facility policies
• Provide preventive care, chronic disease management, and patient education
• Examine, diagnose, and treat common medical issues within NP scope of practice
• Document all patient encounters, assessments, treatment plans, and follow-ups accurately and timely
• Maintain medical records in compliance with facility policies and healthcare regulations
• Coordinate care with other clinicians and correctional health staff to ensure continuity of care
• Work collaboratively with physicians, RNs, LPNs, and correctional staff
• Respond to medical emergencies and provide urgent care interventions as needed
• Adhere to all security protocols and procedures specific to the correctional environment
• Assist with health promotion and education programs for the inmate population
• Coordinate specialist referrals and follow-up care outside the facility when necessary
• Maintain professional licensure and clinical competencies, including BLS/CPR certification and any required state certifications
