Job Title: Ultrasound Technologist
Location: Brooklyn, NY
Type: Contract | 13 Weeks
Shift & Schedule: Day Shift | Monday – Friday | 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM | 37.5 Hours Per Week

Pay Rate: $56 – $70/hour (Depending on Experience)

Position Overview:

Navitas Healthcare, LLC is seeking a Ultrasound Technologist for an exciting Travel or Local job in Brooklyn, NY.

Responsibilities

  • Perform ultrasound examinations on patients following established protocols.

  • Assist radiologists during diagnostic and interventional procedures.

  • Operate, maintain, and clean ultrasound equipment to ensure optimal performance.

  • Ensure patient safety and comfort throughout imaging procedures.

  • Upload and transfer images accurately into the PACS system.

  • Schedule examinations and coordinate patient transportation as needed.

  • Assist with training and onboarding of new staff members when applicable.

  • Maintain accurate documentation and complete administrative duties as required.

  • Ensure adequate imaging supplies are stocked and available.

  • Support daily workflow in a fast-paced hospital environment.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 2+ years of experience as an Ultrasound Technologist or Sono Tech.

  • ARDMS registration required.

  • Current BLS certification (AHA required).

  • Associate’s Degree or equivalent education.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to patient care.

  • Experience with PACS and ultrasound equipment.

  • Strong diagnostic ultrasound scanning skills.

  • Knowledge of hospital workflows and patient care standards.

  • Ability to work independently and make sound clinical decisions.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working in a high-volume hospital environment.

  • Strong equipment troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

  • Proficiency with PACS, Microsoft Office, and related computer systems.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced clinical setting.
