Senior Electrical Engineer to join a leading Company located in the Boston, MA surrounding area.
The Senior Electrical Engineer is a mid to senior-level, plug-and-play contributor who will lead electrical design on complex building projects while mentoring junior staff. This role is the top internal hiring priority and is designed for an engineer who can step in quickly, own projects, and serve as a technical and client-facing leader within the electrical group.
Responsibilities:
- Lead electrical system design for commercial, institutional, healthcare, biotech, and higher education projects
- Produce electrical drawings, specifications, calculations, and technical documentation
- Participate in client meetings, site surveys, and project coordination sessions
- Collaborate closely with project managers and multidisciplinary engineering teams
- Mentor and support the development of designers and drafters
- Ensure compliance with building codes, energy codes, and NFPA standards
- Support QA and QC reviews throughout project delivery
- Monitor scope, schedule, and budget alignment with project leadership
Basic Hiring Criteria:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering
- Minimum 10 years of electrical design experience in building systems
- Background in engineering consulting or construction environments strongly preferred
- Proficiency with Revit and AutoCAD
- Strong working knowledge of applicable building codes, energy codes, and NFPA standards
- Clear, confident communication skills for both internal and client-facing interactions
- Professional Engineer license preferred but not required
