Position Overview:
The chosen physician will deliver gastroenterology services in both outpatient and inpatient environments. Our facility features a fully equipped endoscopy suite and offers a manageable call schedule. Responsibilities will include performing outpatient procedures (such as colonoscopy, upper endoscopy, and ERCP if qualified), managing a gastroenterology clinic, and providing inpatient consultative services. This role encompasses both procedural and clinical responsibilities, collaborating with other specialists to ensure the highest quality of care for veterans. This position also presents an excellent opportunity for those interested in an academic focus, including clinical care, teaching, and research. The selected candidate may be eligible for a faculty position within the Department of Medicine at the University of Washington, contributing to the education of medical students, residents, and other healthcare providers. Our gastroenterology team serves a diverse patient population, providing care to over 30,000 veterans.
Work Schedule: Full-time, Monday through Friday, with the possibility of negotiating a compressed schedule if desired.
- U.S. Citizenship is required, although non-U.S. citizens may be considered.
- A current, unrestricted license to practice medicine or surgery in the United States is necessary.
- Board Certification is preferred, but Board Eligibility may also be taken into account.
