A clinical nursing opportunity is available in Espanola, NM for a dedicated Registered Nurse specializing in patient care across various age groups. This contract position offers night shifts from 7 PM to 7:30 AM, starting immediately, ideal for professionals ready to provide exceptional, efficient, and safe nursing care aligned with established standards.

Responsibilities include coordinating and implementing patient care tailored to the age-specific needs of the patient population served on assigned units. The RN will ensure quality care delivery, demonstrate clinical competence, and maintain respectful, clear communication with patients, families, and healthcare team members. Nurses will operate under supervision of the Patient Care Director or Manager, supporting the mission and objectives of the healthcare unit.

Key Qualifications and Experience:

  • Graduate of an accredited Registered Nursing program.
  • Current New Mexico RN license or valid Compact state license.
  • BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications from the American Heart Association, maintained without grace periods.
  • Proficient knowledge and skills relevant to the patient demographic.
  • Strong understanding of patient rights and sensitive care practices.
  • Effective communication tailored to developmental stages of patients.
  • Able to manage a fast-paced, sometimes stressful hospital environment.
  • Physical capability for prolonged standing, patient transfer, and emergency response requirements.

  • Exposure to bloodborne pathogens and infectious diseases, requiring adherence to strict safety protocols.
  • Work occurs in a smoke-free, well-lit, and ventilated clinical setting.
