Responsibilities
- Coordinate all technical operations of the diagnostic imaging department to ensure timely, high-quality patient imaging and workflow efficiency.
- Supervise diagnostic imaging personnel, including recruiting, onboarding, training, scheduling, and regular performance evaluations.
- Ensure timely processing of patients, prioritizing emergent procedures and minimizing patient wait times.
- Monitor and direct the Radiology Information System (RIS) and Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS); maintain image and data integrity while upholding HIPAA and confidentiality guidelines.
- Oversee quality assurance activities, evaluate new imaging protocols, and participate in performance improvement initiatives; support strategic resource planning and budgeting for the department.
- Ensure compliance with Joint Commission, CMS, and local/state regulations; provide 24/7 department coverage oversight and leadership as needed.
Requirements
- Active California license as a Radiologic Technologist or eligibility to obtain licensure
- Certifications: CRT, ARRT credentials in Radiography, Fluoroscopy; ARRT(R) or ARRT-CT or ARRT-MRI or ARRT-M or ARDMS or NMTCB as applicable
- Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education/related experience; Master’s degree preferred
- Experience: Minimum five years as a registered technologist; at least one year of leadership/management experience
- Key competencies: Knowledge of CA regulations; experience with TJC and CMS requirements; ability to manage a 24/7 diagnostic imaging department
- Additional: Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills; ability to work in a fast-paced, clinical setting
