Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Take your expertise as a Special Education Teacher to a vibrant, supportive school setting outside Salem, OR on a rewarding contract assignment starting as soon as possible through June 5, 2026. You'll have the chance to make a meaningful impact while collaborating closely with dedicated instructional assistants and fellow educators. Multiple openings are available across elementary and middle school levels, including positions focusing on developmental, behavioral, resource, and autism spectrum needs, all in a full-time, onsite capacity (37.5 hours per week).

Openings include:

  • 2 Elementary Developmental classrooms, each serving 15 students with varied behavioral, ASD, and communication needs (6 assistants per class)
  • 1 Elementary Behavior classroom for grades 3-5 (16 students, 5 assistants)
  • 1 Elementary Resource supporting two nearby sites (35 students, 1 assistant at each building)
  • 1 Middle School Resource room (40 students, 2 shared assistants)
  • 1 Middle School Behavior classroom (15 students, 5 assistants)

What You'll Do:

  • Develop and adapt individualized education plans for diverse learners
  • Foster positive, inclusive classroom environments in collaboration with a multi-disciplinary team
  • Provide direct instruction, manage classroom behaviors, and support students’ academic, functional, and social-emotional growth
  • Communicate progress with families and support networks
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with state and federal guidelines

What We’re Looking For:

  • Active Special Education license/certification in Oregon
  • Experience working with behavioral, developmental, autism spectrum, and/or resource needs at the elementary or middle school levels
  • Strong teamwork, communication, and adaptability skills
  • Able to provide contact information for your most recent supervisor for reference purposes
