As a Diet Technician you will collaborate closely with the Registered Dietitian and the clinical team to support resident care.
Diet Clerk Key Duties
- Collecting resident information and dietary data for the Registered Dietitian review.
- Monitoring resident food intake and preferences and providing feedback to the care team.
- Performing nutrition screenings and assessments under the guidance of a Registered Dietitian.
- Supporting menu planning, conducting meal rounds, and ensuring compliance with dietary standards.
- Participating in facility audits, sanitation checks, and assisting with quality control processes as needed.
- Perform other job-related duties as they become required.
Diet Clerk Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
- Basic knowledge of standard and therapeutic nutrition.
- Graduate of Dietetic Assistant/Technician Program preferred.
- One year of food service experience in skilled long-term care facility or hospital healthcare setting.
