Commercial HVAC
Knott Mechanical is seeking an experienced, detail-oriented HVAC Service Dispatcher to take ownership of daily service coordination for our commercial HVAC operations. This is a critical role for someone who thrives on organization, problem-solving, and keeping people and projects moving efficiently.
As our dispatcher, you will be the hub of service operations, balancing client needs, technician schedules, and operational priorities in a fast-paced commercial environment.
What You’ll Do
- Control and manage the daily service board for HVAC work
- Receive, prioritize, and schedule incoming service and maintenance requests
- Coordinate technicians based on skill, location, and urgency
- Communicate clearly and professionally with clients and field teams
- Maintain accurate service records and follow up on open work
- Support completion of work order recommendations and proposals
- Coordinate HVAC material ordering and track job readiness
- Review and assist with timely job closeout and billing
What We’re Looking For
- Proven experience in HVAC or service dispatching (commercial preferred)
- Strong knowledge of the Baltimore Metropolitan Area
- Exceptional organization and attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple priorities without losing accuracy
- Calm, professional communicator under pressure
- Confidence to make decisions and keep work moving
- HVAC or trade knowledge is a plus, but not required for the right dispatcher
