Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A full-time Speech Language Pathologist position is available at an elementary school in Virginia Beach, VA. This contract role spans the entire school year, providing the opportunity to work with a diverse group of students exhibiting a range of behavioral challenges, from functional needs to inclusion settings.
Responsibilities include assessing, diagnosing, and treating speech and language disorders in pediatric students. Collaboration with a supportive team of educators and support staff is integral to developing individualized intervention plans aimed at improving communication skills and fostering student success.
Qualifications:
- Must hold a current Virginia SLP license or have one pending that will be active by August
- Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred
- Experience working with pediatric populations in school settings
- Ability to manage students with severe behavioral disorders effectively
- SLPA credentials considered an asset for support in sessions
