Master's degree in Occupational Therapy, active Occupational Therapist license and 1+ year of Occupational Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
Make a direct impact on students’ lives with this opportunity for a dedicated Occupational Therapist to provide essential services in a supportive school setting. This is a full-time, contract position covering a leave of absence, starting August 9th for a duration of 12 weeks. You’ll be working closely with educators, support staff, and families to help students achieve greater independence and success in their educational environment.
Key Qualifications and Experience:
- Current, valid OT licensure in California
- Previous experience working as a school-based Occupational Therapist preferred
- Strong understanding of pediatric therapy techniques and IEP processes
- Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, students, and families
- Flexibility and adaptability to meet varying student needs across multiple grade levels
Core Responsibilities:
- Assess students’ functional abilities and develop individualized treatment plans aligned with IEP goals
- Deliver direct and consultative therapy services within classroom and pull-out settings
- Document student progress and maintain thorough records in compliance with district and state requirements
- Participate in IEP meetings, providing insightful input and advocating for student needs
- Collaborate with teachers and staff to offer strategies and modifications to promote student participation and access to the curriculum
