Position: Certified Trauma Registrar – Administrative
Location: New York, NY 10065
Duration: 2 Months (9 Weeks)
Schedule: Monday–Friday | 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM (30-minute break)
Work Type: Remote (Flexible hours within core schedule)
Job Summary
The Certified Trauma Registrar supports trauma and burn registry operations by collecting, abstracting, coding, and reporting patient data in accordance with established standards. This role focuses on accurate reporting to national registries while ensuring compliance, data integrity, and timely submissions.
Key Responsibilities

Abstract and code trauma and burn patient data for registry reporting

Submit accurate data to national registries, including burn registry reporting

Review and validate registry data to ensure completeness and compliance with standards

Manage approximately 30–34 patient cases per week

Utilize cloud-based registry and reporting software systems

Collaborate with clinical and administrative teams to resolve data discrepancies

Maintain accurate documentation in accordance with organizational policies and regulatory requirements
Required Qualifications

Minimum 2+ years of experience with Burn Registry reporting (American Burn Registry required)

Strong experience in burn coding (3–5 years highly preferred)

Proficiency with cloud-based software platforms

Certified Trauma Registrar (CTR) credential required
Preferred Qualifications

Active New York State licensure as one of the following:

Registered Nurse (RN)

Certified Nurse Specialist (CNS)

Nurse Practitioner (NP)

Physician Assistant (PA)

Other relevant clinical discipline
