Job Description
This entry-level recruiter role focuses on supporting high-volume internal hiring within a fast-paced warehouse and distribution environment. The Recruiter 1 is responsible for full-cycle recruiting activities, including sourcing internal candidates, conducting interviews, checking references, extending offers, coordinating internal transfers, and supporting onboarding and orientation. The role also manages exit interviews and employee status changes while closely following established processes and guidelines. This position works under immediate supervision, relies on clear instructions and pre-defined procedures, and serves as a customer-facing recruiter business partner for multiple sites.
Responsibilities
- Recruit, interview, and assess internal candidates for a variety of roles across multiple warehouse and distribution sites.
- Check candidate references and ensure all required documentation is complete and accurate.
- Prepare, process, and extend offers to candidates, and track offer acceptance and related status updates.
- Coordinate and process internal transfers, ensuring smooth transitions and adherence to established policies and procedures.
- Conduct orientation activities for new employees, helping them understand processes, expectations, and site-specific guidelines.
- Perform exit interviews and accurately process changes in employee status in accordance with standard procedures.
- Act as a recruiter business partner, serving as a customer-facing point of contact for internal stakeholders and hiring teams.
- Engage regularly with site leaders and stakeholders to understand hiring needs, role requirements, and workforce planning priorities.
- Proactively monitor hiring demand across assigned sites to anticipate spikes and avoid last-minute high-volume requests.
- Manage recruiting operations and administrative tasks, including scheduling interviews, coordinating recruitment activities, and maintaining records.
- Oversee recruiting activities for approximately 20–25 sites, including maintaining and monitoring associated communication channels for updates on offers, interviews, and hiring progress.
- Support stakeholder engagement by being direct, professional, and responsive in all communications.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure alignment with talent acquisition processes, guidelines, and best practices.
- Follow pre-established recruiting guidelines, instructions, and commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within the talent acquisition function.
- Use the CTM system to manage candidate information, recruitment workflows, and reporting, and complete required training to become proficient in this tool.
- Maintain strong organizational systems to handle multiple roles per site and prioritize tasks effectively in a high-volume environment.
Essential Skills
- 1–2 years of experience in recruiting, talent acquisition, or a closely related field.
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant area of specialty may be required.
- Knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures in recruitment and talent acquisition.
- Ability to work effectively under immediate supervision and follow detailed instructions and pre-established guidelines.
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple roles, sites, and stakeholders simultaneously.
- Comfort with high-volume recruiting and fast-paced operational environments.
- Ability to handle operational and administrative aspects of recruitment, including hiring, scheduling, and coordinating activities.
- Effective stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to build trust and maintain professional relationships with site leaders.
- Clear, professional communication skills for interacting with candidates and internal stakeholders.
- Ability to manage and track offers, internal transfers, and candidate status accurately and consistently.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience in warehouse, distribution, or large-scale operational environments is an advantage.
- Background as a recruiting coordinator or in a similar coordination role can be a strong fit for this position.
- Proactive, resilient, and organized approach to managing fluctuating hiring demands and urgent staffing needs.
- Comfort using applicant tracking systems or recruitment platforms; willingness to learn and use CTM.
- Ability to manage multiple communication channels and keep stakeholders informed of hiring progress and updates.
- Strong attention to detail when processing offers, internal transfers, and employee status changes.
- Professional, direct, and responsive communication style that supports effective stakeholder engagement.
Work Environment
This role supports the North America Customer Fulfillment function, which operates large warehouses where inventory is stored and moves to distribution centers before packaging and final delivery. The recruiter manages hiring for a portfolio of approximately 20–25 sites, each potentially with multiple roles and varying hiring demands. The environment is fast-paced and high-volume, with periods of urgent staffing needs and spikes in headcount requests. Work is performed under immediate supervision and follows established talent acquisition processes and guidelines. The role relies heavily on technology, including the CTM system for recruitment workflows and various communication channels for coordinating offers, interviews, and updates. The culture emphasizes professionalism, responsiveness, stakeholder engagement, and strong organizational skills to navigate complex operations and support critical warehouse and distribution functions.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $36.00 - $36.00/hr.
