Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Deaf Education, active DHH teaching certification, and 1+ years Teacher of the Deaf / Hard of Hearing experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A contract position is available for a Teacher specializing in Deaf and Hard of Hearing education, utilizing telehealth services. This role involves delivering specialized instruction and support to students with hearing impairments through remote platforms, ensuring access to quality education and communication.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing individualized educational instruction and support to students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing via telehealth.
  • Developing and implementing tailored lesson plans and interventions that address students’ unique communication and learning needs.
  • Conducting assessments and monitoring student progress to adapt instructional strategies accordingly.
  • Collaborating with families, educational teams, and related service providers to enhance student outcomes.
  • Utilizing technology effectively to facilitate remote teaching and communication.

Preferred qualifications and experience:

  • Certification or licensure as a Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing.
  • Experience delivering instruction via telehealth or remote platforms.
  • Strong knowledge of hearing loss and its impact on language development and learning.
  • Ability to design and implement specialized curriculum and accommodations.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Familiarity with assistive listening devices and related technologies.
