Job DescriptionKey Responsibilities

  • Prepare and file federal and state tax returns for:
    • Corporate returns: Form 1120 and 1120S
    • Partnership returns: Form 1065
    • Estate and trust returns: Form 1041
    • Nonprofit returns: Form 990
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable tax laws and regulations.
  • Research and resolve complex tax issues.
  • Assist with tax planning strategies for individuals and businesses.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and support for all filings.
  • Process limited payroll tasks during off-season periods as needed.

Collaborate with internal teams to provide tax insights and recommendations.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA preferred).
    • Experience:Minimum 3–5 years of hands-on tax preparation experience across corporate, partnership, estate, and nonprofit entities.
    • Payroll experience is a plus, but not required.
  • Strong knowledge of federal and state tax codes.
  • Proficiency in tax software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.

Preferred Skills

  • CPA or EA designation.
  • Experience with tax planning and advisory services.
  • Familiarity with payroll systems for occasional processing.


Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Evansville, IN.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $28.00/hr.
