Job Description

We are looking for an Durable Medical Equipment (DME) - Operational Manager, this role will be critical in ensuring operational efficiency and regulatory compliance within our Durable Medical Equipment (DME) business.

Salary: Based on experience

Schedule: 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM, Monday - Friday (On-site)

Responsibilities:

  • Stay updated on all relevant healthcare regulations, including HIPAA, Medicare, and Medicaid.
  • Develop and implement compliance policies and procedures.
  • Conduct regular audits and assessments to identify compliance gaps.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for regulatory agencies and manage all compliance-related inquiries and audits.
  • Provide training to staff on compliance policies and regulations.
  • Identify potential compliance risks and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Monitor industry trends and changes in regulations.
  • Supervise administrative staff and coordinate daily office operations.
  • Oversee office logistics, including facilities management, supplies procurement, and equipment maintenance.
  • Develop and maintain efficient office procedures to optimize productivity.
  • Handle administrative tasks such as scheduling, correspondence, and record-keeping.
  • Implement technology solutions to streamline office processes.
  • Manage intake and incoming customer (physician, staff, facility staff, and patients) calls and emails.
  • Ensure excellent customer service standards.
  • Pursue new referral sources through outside marketing and generate sales of DME items.
  • Consistently achieve sales quotas and manage product inventory.
  • Create marketing promotions and participate in local events.
  • Manage, train, and cross-train new employees.
  • Involvement in interview and hiring processes.
  • Review invoices and maintain financial records.
  • Verify insurance for DME coverage and prior authorization information.

Qualifications:

  • MUST HAVE DME EXPERIENCE
  • In-depth knowledge of healthcare regulations, including HIPAA, Medicare, and Medicaid.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate teams.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Analytical mindset with attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in office software and technology tools.
  • Certification in healthcare compliance (e.g., CHC, CHPC) is a plus.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience in Durable Medical Equipment (DME) compliance or a similar role.
  • Previous experience in a compliance role within the healthcare industry, preferably in DME.
