Job Description
Join our team as a CNC Machinist/CNC Operator where you will play a pivotal role in producing high-quality aluminum parts. You will work in a dedicated machine shop environment within an aluminum foundry, utilizing mills and lathes to drill, cut, and grind parts. This position offers a great opportunity to work in a laid-back, smaller company atmosphere with room to grow.
Responsibilities
- Operate a variety of CNC mills and lathes, primarily using HAAS CNC machines.
- Perform basic machine setups, change tooling, and make offset adjustments as needed.
- Ensure accurate measurements using tools such as micrometers, tape measures, and calipers.
- Read and interpret blueprints and shop orders to ensure compliance with customer specifications.
- Run manual mills and drill presses when necessary.
Essential Skills
- Proficiency in CNC machining, particularly with mills.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to read blueprints and use precise measuring tools.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience with lathe operation.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new processes.

Work Environment
Work within an aluminum foundry in a separate machine shop building dedicated to finishing parts. The environment includes grinding and paint/powder coat areas. Typical work hours are from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, with potential overtime based on daily workload.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Smoketown, PA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr.
