About the Opportunity
The Supplier Quality Specialist is responsible for ensuring the quality and compliance of supplies, materials, and components used in manufacturing processes, including equipment calibration services. Their primary role is to assess and maintain the quality standards of incoming materials, components, and products from suppliers.
What You'll Do:
- Quality Assurance: Receiving Inspection point of contact. Ensuring supplier receives and meets applicable QMS and order specific flow down requirements, establishing and implementing quality control procedures, inspection protocols, and testing methods to verify the quality and conformity of incoming supplies and services. Includes documentation of Receiving Inspection activities in ProCIM (ERP).
- Quality Metrics: Developing and monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure and track supplier performance, material non-conformance rates, services, and overall supply quality.
- Issue Resolution: Collaborating with suppliers to address quality issues, non-conformances, and deviations, implementing corrective and preventive actions (CAPAs) to prevent recurrence.
- Documentation and Reporting: Maintaining accurate records of supplier performance, quality incidents, and inspection results, generating reports, and providing data-driven insights to stakeholders.
- Calibration Services: Generating a list of all equipment due calibrations using Calibration 2000 software and ensuring calibration is performed on all equipment per schedule and is properly labeled.
- Schedule Coordination: Coordinating calibration schedules with vendors, confirming equipment location and escorting calibration technician to perform service.
- Record Maintenance: Managing the approved vendor list and ensuring vendor certificates are current; updating the calibration status database, maintaining records, and generating a monthly calibration status report for management.
What You'll Bring:
- 2 - 3 years of experience in quality management, with a focus on supplier quality
- Strong knowledge of quality assurance principles, practices, and methodologies, including root cause analysis, corrective and preventive actions (CAPA), statistical process control (SPC), and non-conformance management
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to work with complex data sets
- Proficient in problem-solving techniques and analytical methods to identify root causes of quality issues
- Strong organizational and follow-through skills
- Ability to multi-task and effectively manage multiple projects
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills to interact with suppliers, cross-functional teams, and stakeholders effectively
- Ability to collaborate and work in a team-oriented environment
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office
- Familiarity with PCB manufacturing, electronics assembly (Preferred)
Schedule:
- 8-hour shift
- Monday to Friday
- Overtime and Saturdays as required
Work Setting:
- On-site only
Job Type: Full-time
California Pay Range$20—$24 USD
The actual compensation offered is based on a wide array of factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, years and depth of experience, certifications, and other relevant business considerations.
