Job Description

Job Title: Microbiologist (Sterilization)

Work Site: Plymouth, MN – Onsite

Duration: 12 Months Contract with possible extension

Shift/Schedule: 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM/Monday – Friday

Job Description:

Interpret cleanroom monitoring test results including non-viable particles, viable active air, viable surface, pressure differential, and HEPA velocity
Document and investigate excursions from cleanroom monitoring where results did not meet specification
Document and investigate environmental disturbances that occur in the cleanroom (ex. pressure differential out of specification)
Document and investigate product bioburden or endotoxin excursions
Support Supplier Change Notifications (SCN) by evaluating impact of change to product bioburden, bacterial endotoxin, and sterilization
Support changes to the manufacturing environment by writing Environmental Disturbance Reports (EDR) for planned activities (adding equipment, tables, personnel, etc)
Conduct review of routine test results in LIMS (product bioburden, product endotoxin, environmental monitoring, etc)

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in a related scientific field plus 1+ years of related work experience with a complete understanding of specified functional areas, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
Knowledge of medical device manufacturing and cleanroom environments.
