Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited university
  • Valid DOE certification (Early Childhood Special Ed: ages birth–8, or as specified above)
  • Experience or strong interest in early childhood special education (preschool age group preferred)
  • Ability to interpret and apply results from standardized and general education assessments for literacy and math
  • Successful background screening post-offer

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver specialized instruction and support to preschool students with disabilities, using both in-class and pull-out methods
  • Manage a maximum caseload of 15 students
  • Assess students for eligibility and instructional needs
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team—with Fridays dedicated to planning and team meetings
  • Engage families and caregivers in the educational process
