Position Overview

Now hiring CDL-A drivers for a regional intermodal position based in Mt. Pleasant, WI. This role offers consistent freight, strong weekly averages, and reliable home time, with the opportunity to run higher miles for increased earnings.

Drivers will haul intermodal containers across the Midwest with no-touch freight and steady lane volume centered around Chicago rail yards.

Route & Freight Details

• Regional runs primarily across:
  • Wisconsin, Illinois, Iowa, Minnesota
• Freight distribution:
  • ~90% WI & IL / ~10% surrounding states
• Rail yard activity:
  • ~95% Chicago rail yards
  • Occasional St. Paul and St. Louis runs
• Average:
  • ~1,900 miles per week
  • Up to 2,400+ miles for top drivers
• 100% no-touch freight
• Hauling intermodal containers on chassis

Schedule

• Sunday – Thursday
• Start time window:
  • 4:00 AM – 10:00 AM
• Home weekly (34-hour reset)
• Opportunity for:
  • Extra work days based on freight demand
• Drivers may occasionally take 10-hour breaks at home (if nearby)

Pay & Compensation

• Avg Weekly Pay: $1,400–$1,800
• Avg Annual Pay: $80,000 – $103,000

Mileage Pay:

• $0.59 – $0.64 CPM
• Annual CPM increases available

Additional Pay:

• $35 drop & hook pay
• $65 live load/unload pay

Bonuses

• $5,000 sign-on bonus
• Up to $1,000 annual safety bonus

Equipment & Work Setup

• Automatic sleeper trucks (Freightliner)
• Intermodal chassis equipment
• Terminal parking required if within 30 miles
• Possible truck take-home option if outside radius

Training

• Approx. 2 weeks training
• May remain in truck with trainer
• Hotel provided if needed

Requirements

• Valid CDL-A license
• Minimum 3 months of tractor-trailer experience required
• No endorsements required
• Must be able to:
  • Work early morning schedules
  • Run full weekly schedule
