Job Summary: Non-Sterile compounding pharmacist is responsible for compounding low, medium and high-risk non-sterile products in a clean room environment.
Job Activities and Responsibilities: Compounding pharmacist shall have knowledge of and follow applicable Standard Operating Procedures.
Non-sterile compounding may include but is not limited to the compounding of capsules, oral liquids, topical medications, nasal preparations, suppositories, troches, tablet triturates or lollipops. Hormones and other potentially hazardous chemicals are used in non-sterile compounding. Position requires close attention to detail. Standards for accuracy and potency shall be consistently met.
Compounding pharmacist shall perform compounding and supervise pharmacy technicians compounding of preparations, filling, and labeling of prescriptions and prepackaging of bulk medications. Compounding pharmacist shall also perform order entry, communicate with providers for the purpose of receiving new prescription orders, clarification of prescriptions or refill authorizations, perform final check on prescriptions, counsel patients and answer questions
from patients and providers. Compounding pharmacist shall also monitor inventory levels for re-order of low inventory or expiring chemicals, receive new inventory, ensure maintenance of MSDS and Certificates of Analysis, oversee annual inventory and ensure performance of daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning using appropriate disinfectants and techniques and finally, ensure that environmental monitoring and validation testing is performed according to policies and
procedures.
Minimum qualifications
• Georgia-licensed pharmacist
• Multiple state licenses are a plus. If not licensed in multiple states, must be eligible to get
licensed in every state.
• Working knowledge of all aspects of a pharmacy – Retail, Sterile, Non-Sterile
• No felony or pending felony charges or convictions, including controlled substances
offenses.
Physical requirements
• Position requires good hand-eye coordination and the ability to lift to thirty pounds.
Ability to commute/relocate
• Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)License/Certification
• Licensed Pharmacist (Required)
• Must be able to qualify for additional state licenses

Compensation
The typical pay range for this role is:
$54.00-$60/hour
This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors.
