Robert Half Management Resources is recruiting for a strong Sr. Accountant to support our large and innovative marketing and branding client on a 3-4 month hybrid engagement. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented and highly skilled Sr. Accountant with a strong background in revenue accounting and process improvement to make a substantial impact within a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
• Oversee daily close activities, ensuring accurate and timely recording of revenue transactions.
• Conduct detailed contract reviews to ensure compliance with ASC 606 and internal revenue recognition policies.
• Streamline reconciliation processes by reviewing revenue-related accounts, identifying discrepancies, and implementing improvements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Finance, Sales, and Operations, to maintain accurate and actionable revenue data.
• Lead or support key projects focused on enhancing the efficiency and accuracy of revenue processes.
• Prepare comprehensive monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue schedules to support financial reporting.
• Provide ad-hoc analysis and reporting on revenue trends, forecasts, and variances.
• Assist in internal and external audits by preparing documentation and addressing revenue-related inquiries.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• At least 5-7 years of accounting experience, with a strong emphasis on revenue recognition and process improvement.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, and complex formulas.
• Familiarity with ASC 606 and revenue compliance standards is essential.
• Hands-on experience with financial close processes and account reconciliations in mid-to-large organizations.
• Experience using ERP systems such as Oracle, NetSuite, or SAP is highly preferred.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a detail-oriented mindset.
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
