Position Overview
We are seeking a talented and motivated Project Engineer to join our team. This role is ideal for someone eager to learn, take on responsibility, and grow within a dynamic construction environment. You will work closely with the project team to plan, coordinate, and execute construction projects from start to finish.
Key Responsibilities
- Organize, track, and maintain project-related files, drawings, materials, and correspondence.
- Assist in monitoring/documenting job-site safety and accident prevention.
- Develop and maintain project logs (RFIs, Submittals, Procurement, Drawings, etc.).
- Track and verify material orders to ensure timely delivery per the project schedule.
- Support estimating efforts, including quantity take-offs, spreadsheet analysis, and unit pricing for change orders.
- Collect, review, and process project documents (RFIs, submittals, shop drawings, change orders, etc.).
- Assist the Project Management Team with cost tracking and accounting.
- Help review and prepare subcontractor scopes of work and subcontract documents.
- Read and interpret contract drawings and specifications.
- Prepare closeout documents (warranties, O&M manuals, training materials) and track punch list completion.
- Prepare meeting documents, take minutes, and distribute them as needed.
- Perform other administrative duties as required to support the project team.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or related field.
- Minimum 2+ years of construction management experience with a general contractor or subcontractor, including Public Works projects (required).
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook), Zoom, Microsoft Teams, and Bluebeam.
- Experience with Public Works and K-12 projects (preferred).
- Familiarity with Procore, Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, or BIM software (preferred).
- Strong communication skills (written, verbal, and non-verbal).
