Job Title: Polisher
Job Description
The Polisher prepares and finishes stainless steel components by grinding, polishing, and deburring a variety of fabricated products. This role uses hand and power tools to achieve high-quality surface finishes, supports continuous improvement of production processes, and performs basic preventive maintenance on equipment in a fabrication shop environment.
Responsibilities
- Grind, polish, and deburr stainless steel components on various manufactured products to achieve the required surface finish and quality standards.
- Use a variety of hand and power tools, including grinder wheels, polishing tools, sanders, buffers, and other finishing equipment, in a safe and effective manner.
- Perform detailed metal finishing, including sanding, buffing, and final finishing, to meet production specifications and aesthetic requirements.
- Follow all safety procedures and shop guidelines while working with metal fabrication and finishing equipment.
Essential Skills
- Proven experience with grinding, polishing, and deburring metal components, particularly stainless steel.
- Strong hands-on skills using grinders, polishing tools, sanders, buffers, and other metal finishing equipment.
- Ability to perform detailed metal finishing, including grinding, sanding, buffing, and final finishing to specification.
- Understanding of metal finishing techniques such as deburring and surface preparation.
- Ability to follow production instructions, read and interpret basic job requirements, and meet quality standards.
- Commitment to safe work practices when using hand and power tools in a fabrication environment.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Oviedo, FL.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $20.00/hr.
