Job Description

Engage in sorting, lifting, catching, and packaging tiles while performing quality control inspections. Responsibilities include stacking tiles from a pallet onto a conveyor and cleaning when the line is not running. The role involves sweeping and spraying down the line with a hose. Please note that this is an extremely messy job where you will get wet and dirty.

Responsibilities

• Sort, lift, catch, and package tiles.
• Inspect tiles for quality control.
• Stack tiles from a pallet onto a conveyor.
• Clean the line when not in operation.
• Sweep and spray down the line with a hose.

Essential Skills

• Experience in production, general labor, and general production.
• Previous manufacturing experience.
• Ability to solve practical problems using logic.
• Self-sufficiency under general supervision.
• Willingness to get dirty as needed.
• Exceptional attendance, reliability, and performance.
• Proficiency in assembly, packaging, and inspection.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Prior experience in an old industrial environment working around large machines and equipment.
• Ability to count accurately, such as counting stacks of tiles.
• Capability to perform repetitive movements, including twisting, bending, kneeling, and crouching.
• Regular ability to lift and/or move objects up to 50 pounds throughout the shift.

Work Environment

The facility is an old industrial environment that may appear intimidating from the outside. It houses large, dirty, and dusty industrial equipment, with some areas requiring face masks due to high silica levels. You will be working around kilns, making it extremely hot. Expect to get dirt, glaze, and water on your clothes, as cleaning lines involves using a hose. A respirator fitting test will be conducted for certain areas.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Spokane Valley, Washington.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $19.00/hr.
