Role:
Responsible for providing clerical support for loan and other business services activities. Obtains and records commercial loan information and documentation. Assists members and potential members with their financial needs, opens new accounts, processes account transactions, and resolves problems.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities:
- Reviews loan application/preliminary documentation after loan officer approval.
- Generates documents based off information provided.
- Gathers additional data needed for underwriting, including but not limited to, income/assets/credit, valuation, title work, and appraisal.
- Prepares commercial loan modifications.
- Handles correspondence with members and lender for various situations throughout process - appraisal, docs to sign, etc.
- Maintains and applies a comprehensive knowledge and understanding of all credit union products, services, policies, and procedures. Assisting others with questions about business services and required documentation.
- Assists and educates commercial members with selecting the products and services that best meet their needs and recommend other complementary services to provide member satisfaction, increase product penetration, and promote the credit union.
- Performs other job-duties as assigned.
Performance Measurements:
1.
Resolve member issues within 24 hours and/or ensure that all parties are informed daily on the process.
2.
Business accounts are opened, monitored, serviced, and maintained in accordance with established policies and procedures.
3.
Document preparation is accurate, neat, and timely. Loans are accurately entered on LaserPro and Symitar software.
4.
Files are current and well organized. All commercial files are maintained to the satisfaction of internal audit, external audit, and the NCUA.
5.
Miscellaneous clerical functions are efficiently and effectively completed.
Knowledge and Skills:
Experience
Three years to five years of similar or related experience.
Education
(1) A two-year college degree, or (2) completion of a specialized certification or licensing, or (3) completion of specialized training courses conducted by vendors, or (4) job-specific skills acquired through an apprenticeship program.
Interpersonal Skills
Work involves much personal contact with others inside and/or outside the organization for the purpose of first-level conflict resolution, building relationships, and soliciting cooperation. Discussions involve a higher degree of confidentiality and discretion, requiring diplomacy and tact in communication.
Other Skills
Must have excellent communication and PR skills; ability to use related software required.
Physical Requirements
FINGER DEXTERITY: Using primarily just the fingers to make small movements such as typing, picking up small objects, or pinching fingers together.
TALKING: Especially where one must frequently convey detailed or important instructions or ideas accurately, loudly, or quickly.
AVERAGE HEARING: Able to hear average or normal conversations and receive ordinary information.
REPETITIVE MOTION: Movements frequently and regularly required using the wrists, hands, and/or fingers.
AVERAGE VISUAL ABILITIES: Average, ordinary visual acuity necessary to prepare or inspect documents or products, or operate machinery.
PHYSICAL STRENGTH: Sedentary work; sitting most of the time. Exerts up to 10 lbs. of force occasionally.
