This opportunity seeks a skilled MRI technologist to perform high-quality imaging services in a contract role located in Washington, Utah. Responsibilities:
- Verify patient identity and confirm exam orders; prepare patients for MRI procedures.
- Perform MRI scans following established department protocols with precise anatomical positioning.
- Critique and assess imaging quality; complete studies efficiently without compromising patient care.
- Collaborate with radiologists to select appropriate scanning techniques and protocols.
- Administer intravenous contrast material under supervision following safety guidelines.
- Adhere to infection control and sterile procedures consistently.
- Operate MRI equipment and related imaging systems with proficiency, including troubleshooting.
- Manage image viewing, archiving, and manipulation using electronic imaging software.
- Maintain working knowledge of MRI scanner components such as magnets, cryogens, and gradient amplifiers.
- Comply with MRI safety policies, including the FOUR ZONE concept and emergency procedures.
- Complete all documentation accurately, ensuring proper time stamps, image storage, and quality control.
- Follow protocols for medical necessity, coding, patient consents, and equipment issue reporting.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience performing MRI imaging in a clinical setting.
- Thorough understanding of cross-sectional anatomy and MRI technology.
- Competency in contrast administration as per physician or radiologist instructions.
- Knowledge of MRI safety standards and emergency protocols.
- Ability to operate advanced imaging equipment and troubleshoot technical issues.
- Strong attention to detail in documentation and regulatory compliance.
