Job Details:
\n
• Work 12-hour day shifts (7:00 AM - 7:00 PM)
\n• 6-9 weekend shifts required in a 6-week schedule
\n• May be placed in holiday rotation
\n• Must float within Zone 4 (60-mile radius from Garden City, KS)
\n• Float between ICU, PCU/Stepdown, and MS-Tele units as needed
\n• Float between Bob Wilson Memorial Hospital (Ulysses), St. Catherine-Dodge City, and St. Catherine-Garden City
\n• Nurse-to-patient ratios: 1:1-2 dependent on acuity, may flex up to 1:3
\n• 1:1 ratio for high acuity patients (CRRT, IABP, Impella, etc.)
\n• Must have 2 years of ICU experience minimum
\n• First-time travelers need 3+ years ICU experience and Epic experience
\n• Travel experience preferred
\n• Must be comfortable titrating all critical drips including pressors, sedation, paralytics, antiarrhythmics, heparin, and insulin
\n• Required to read and interpret own telemetry strips
\n• Must assist in troubleshooting and managing respiratory needs
\n• Work with ventilators, CPAP, BiPap, high flow oxygen, and breathing treatments
\n• Required certifications: BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA), NIHSS, TNCC
\n• Epic charting system experience required
\n• Rare call/standby requirement for low census
\n• Schedule made by leadership for 6 weeks at a time
\n• All time off requests must be submitted prior to starting assignment
\n• BSN not required
\n• One week of orientation required (must be in state for orientation week)
