Master's degree in Occupational Therapy, active Occupational Therapist license and 1+ year of Occupational Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A travel occupational therapy opportunity is available for the 2026-2027 school year, located in Hamlet, NC. This role focuses on providing occupational therapy services within a school setting, specifically serving students from PreK through 8th grade. The position is full-time, with a commitment of 37.5 hours per week.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver occupational therapy evaluations and interventions to students in grades PreK-8
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and other professionals to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Maintain accurate documentation and progress reports in compliance with district and legal guidelines
- Adapt therapy techniques to meet the diverse needs of students within the school environment
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to a supportive educational setting
Preferred Qualifications:
- Licensed and credentialed Occupational Therapist with experience in school settings
- Ability to provide home health and healthcare-related occupational therapy services is a plus
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with children, families, and school staff
- Flexibility to travel and adapt to new environments as part of this travel assignment
